Sterling silver cremation necklace

This ornately detailed cylindrical shaped sterling silver prayer box pendant made by members of the Karen Hill tribe in Thailand is suspended from a sterling silver rolo chain. Pendant has a twist off cap.

Prayer boxes are used by the followers of many faiths, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. All faiths use prayer boxes to focus the mind on one’s prayers or secret wishes, typically by writing down a prayer or wish on a small piece of paper and placing it into the box. Doing so is believed by the faithful to make these prayers and wishes come true.

✩ Sterling silver tube is 1.25" long (not including bail); outer diameter is 9mm. When opening the tube, gently twist the cap - not the teardrop shaped bail on top.
✩ Sterling silver 2mm rolo chain closes with a spring ring clasp. All components are sterling silver.

Crash+Duchess was born after coming home from an impromptu visit to my first bead shop back in 2008. I found myself with a pile of beautiful stones, but no knowledge of what to do with them - buying beads for their inherent beauty seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to me. I feel fortunate that my home life and work life are so visibly, deeply intertwined, allowing me to never forget how grateful I am for being able to do what I do on a daily basis.
